Last 28th November, Veneto Regio has carried out a workshop at the Palazzo Grandi Stazioni of Venice in the scope of the project pilot results' transferring.
The event was split in two sessions. The first one was dedicated to the culture of cross-fertilization as a tool for innovation. The aim was to transfer knowledge about cross-fertilization processes to both traditional enterprise clusters and cultural and creative industries using co-design tools and other creative methodologies, such as design thinking (management methodology used to solve complex problems using a creative approach) applied to entrepreneurship.
The around 25 participants underlined that this process needs a cultural change in order to avoid that what was transferred during the workshop is not immediately abandoned in the daily work of companies.
The second one was oriented to support clusters and creative networks to develop new products and projects. The lack of innovation in traditional clusters is one of the main problems traditional PMI are facing. There is the need to identify new paths against the lack of innovation in traditional clusters and to strengthen the cooperation with Creative Industries in view to propose new products for the markets according to the social and technological trends. These problems need a common methodology and instrument for their solution. For these reasons, the cross fertilization events was organized in the form of a workshop, in order to promote the cross-fertilization method as a tool for innovation. The workshop combined together traditional enterprise clusters and cultural and creative industries.
