Highlights by Javier Mateo, Representative of VALENCIACTIVA, Office of Development of Entrepreneurship at the Municipality of Valencia
A technical workshop took place in the Universitat Politècnica de València, focused on small and medium enterprises, as well as research and technological organisations, to share the lessons learnt during the implementation of PROMINENT MED. The main highlights of the experts who participated in the panels are gathered in the following lines.
Javier Mateo, Representative of VALENCIACTIVA, Office of Development of Entrepreneurship at the Municipality of Valencia, highlighted that the initiative VLC TECH CITY is a public private initiative in order to establish the new economic model of the city, as a bottom up approach from the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Valencia is also a territory for the validation of innovative solutions for testing new initiatives. A new dialogue between stakeholders to grow in a virtuous circle between needs and solutions. The challenge is to become a leader innovation city in the top10 of EU technological hubs into five years. For that, the incorporation of mechanisms of Public Procurement of Innovation can be of high relevance. Check out the main ambitions in the presentation attached.
